We had these decals made in 2015 to display on family and friends’ vehicles. They are a constant reminder of the devastating effects of P.T.S.D (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and T.B.I. (Traumatic Brain Injury). With these displayed, we commemorate Casey’s life, his operational theaters while deployed and the sometimes hidden dangers of P.T.S.D.

The presence of these decals helps to raise awareness in the community about the issues that frequently surround returning veterans. We have been accosted at gas stations, stores and stop lights by well-meaning people wishing to express their condolences. Casey’s mother has found notes on her windshield from families who have suffered similarly, thanking her for her son’s service and sacrifice. It is an opportunity to educate the public, a surprising number of which have never heard of ’22 vets a day…’.

In adding this to the site, we are recognizing that October, 2020 marks the fifth year that we are without our beloved Casey.
